Lingering Kashmir issue threat to peace and stability in South Asia: Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi

Senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian, Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi has hailed the “stand” of Pakistan against the United States, saying the latter “is plotting against Islamabad and Iran to weaken these countries.”
Addressing during congregational Friday prayers, Aga Syed Hasan said the US remarks over Afghanistan against Pakistan are uncalled for as “Pakistan has sacrificed everything to curb the activities of terrorists.
“Pakistan’s refusal to support the US in Afghanistan and its stand against America is laudable and represents the aspirations of people of Pakistan.
“At the behest of the US and Israel, some anti-Islamic revolution elements are dreaming of hurting and devastating Iran. Such US backed elements will never succeed in their nefarious designs and will face only disappointment.
“After (threatening) Iran, the US is now trying to threaten Pakistan. The unity and coalition between Islamic countries will the apt reply to the hegemony of America,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Aga Syed Hasan demand implementation of the resolution passed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on this day in 1949 calling for referendum in Jammu and Kashmir.
Terming the lingering Kashmir issue as “threat to peace and stability” in South Asia, Aga Hasan urged world community to intervene and appealed the UN Secretary General to implement the January 5, 1949 UN resolution related to Kashmir.
“Jammu and Kashmir is not any border dispute but an issue concerning the fate of 15 million population and if it is not resolved at earliest, all endeavours aimed at ensuring peace in South Asia will go waste,” he said.
